Mike Wolfe

Mike’s unfortunate childhood lead him to drug addiction and homelessness. When he was initially exposed to the Gospel message, he took a new direction and joined an extremely legalistic church. Unfortunately, the misinterpretation of the message had Mike believing that God’s standard is perfection and you have to follow the rules to earn God’s love. Because he was an imperfect recovering addict, that faith seemed beyond reach, so he slid back into the streets.

Then Mike came to the Orange County Rescue Mission and sat in on a chapel service. Here, he's learned about grace and how God loves him — just the way he is! Struggles and mistakes are a part of life, but God’s grace covers all sins.

Today, because of your support of the Orange County Rescue Mission, Mike has graduated and is a successful salesman and very involved in the ministry.

The above story is yet another real example of a real life that has been filled with HOPE by a combination of compassionate giving, hands-on ministry and the grace of God. Thank you for your role in bringing it to pass.
