Hurtt Family Health Clinic provides highly accessible, preventative, primary and specialized healthcare to homeless and underserved families through a full service medical, dental, vision, mental health, chiropractic, and health education services.

Hurtt Family Health Clinic has both a fixed clinic site and mobile sites and is a low-cost, family primary care clinic that serves individuals by appointment and on a walk-in basis. Services include well-baby and well-child checkups, well woman exams and clinical breast exams, physical examinations, management and treatment of diabetes and chronic illness, provision of medication when applicable, low cost referrals for specialized needs, and patient education classes including chronic illness management, personal hygiene, and nutrition. The Clinic also contains a laboratory where patients can receive immunizations and vaccines. From September 2008 to September 2009, it provided 1,573 mental health assessments and treatments, 13,905 incidents of prescription medication assistance and 10,760 medical exams and procedures.

Scope of Services

• Preventative Care: Immunizations, physicals (school, sports, and employment), breast and cervical cancer screenings, Mammograms, laboratory exams excluding drug testing, assist patients with MSI applications.
• Family Medicine: Primary care, chronic disease management- diabetes, asthma, hypertension, acute care non emergent illness care, low cost specialty referrals as needed.
• Education: Patient and Family Chronic Illness Management, sexually transmitted disease risk reduction, smoking and addiction referrals and advice, personal hygiene and nutrition. Free and low cost health insurance applications.
• Pediatric: Well Child Exams, Immunizations
• Dental & Vision

Cost of Care

Ages 0 to 5 years are free* and adults are $40.00 for the first visit. Any additional visits are only $30.00. We can enroll and we bill to MSI, Health Families, Cal Optima, Arta Western and Medi-Cal. If your client is homeless with no resources, we will still provide care.
